  • Why does my light automatically dim?

    When the light is on HIGH and you stop for a chat, the housing will get hot and may automatically switch to MEDIUM to cool its self.

    The LEDs them selves will be fine (up to 125 deg C) the thermal trigger is set 60-70 deg C. HIGH power settings will become available once the housing has dropped by 5 deg C, and can then re activated.

    WARNING: Housing may get hot when in use on HIGH, when going slow / not moving or in still air. When stopped, click to LOW or MED to conserve battery power and avoid thermal cut off.

  • Can I charge my iPhone from your battery - while camping?

    You can also charge other USB items, or even a few at the same time, by using a small USB hub.

  • Warnings: Why is my light flashing?

    Your battery is getting flat. Their are three progressive "low battery" warnings:

     

    1. Red switch light comes on and light flash once.

    2. Red switch light flashes and main LED light flashes.

    3. Red switch light flashes and main LED light flashes faster.

    Your light will then flash very slowly for 5 seconds and then shut down. You can over ride this and turn the light back on if you like.

    You can do this 2-3 times before the on-board protection shuts down and the battery will play dead - to be re-activate - the battery must be charged.

  • How do I work the charger?

    Standard charge takes 1 hour.

    1. Ensure all leads are connected to the charging unit.

    2. Plug-in and turn on power source to the charging unit.

    3. Connect the battery to the charging unit.

    4. Check display "LiPo CHARGE 1.6A 14.8v(4S)"

    5. Hold the start/enter button for 2 seconds

    6. Check display"R:  4SER  S:  4SER" - press start/enter to charge

    7. The charging unit will beep when finished and flash 'DONE'

    8. Press the stop button, unplug the battery and turn off the charger

  • What is the run time of my light with one full charge?

    Standard Battery
    2.5 Hours = HIGH with a standard 1.6Ah battery

    5.0 Hours = MEDIUM with a standard 1.6Ah battery

    20.0 Hours = LOW with a standard 1.6Ah battery

    Larger Battery
    3.5 Hours = HIGH with a larger 2.2Ah battery

    7.0 Hours = MEDIUM with a larger 2.2Ah battery

    27.5 Hours = LOW with a larger 2.2Ah battery

    Light Weight Helmet Battery
    1.6 Hours = HIGH with a helmet 1.0Ah battery

    3.3 Hours = MEDIUM with a helmet 1.0Ah battery

    12.5 Hours = LOW with a helmet 1.0Ah battery

  • How do the light settings work?

    Turn On = 1 Click

    High Mode = 1 Click

    Medium Mode = 1 Click

    Low (Dim) Mode = Click + hold for 1 second

    Flash Mode = Hold from off. All brightness settings available as above.
